Moremi flies Sharpeville flag high with Bafana selection

He has proven beyond doubt that he deserves to be included in the national team.

SEDIBENG.- Tshepang ‘Buda’ Moremi has been named in Bafana Bafana’s preliminary squad ahead of their international friendly against Zambia on November 15. The match against Chipolopolo forms part of South Africa’s preparations for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

This Sharpeville-born sensation is on top of his game for Orlando Pirates, scoring crucial goals for the club.

His recent stunner in Pirates’ 2-1 victory over Magesi in the Carling Black Label Cup could easily be one of the goals of the season, leaving goalkeeper Elvis Chipezeze hands-down much to the delighted of the Pirates’ faithful.

Moremi has been one of the outstanding players in the Betway Premiership this season and looks set to be part of Coach Hugo Broos’ team for the AFCON.

He has proven beyond doubt that he deserves to be included in the national team.

This is the same man who scored for Stellenbosch in the MTN final, scoring a brace, and also walking away with the Man of the Match Award.

Meanwhile, his fellow Sharpeville native, Relebohile Mofokeng, was not included in the preliminary squad due to fitness concerns. However, Sedibeng Ster Sport believes he still has a strong chance of making the final AFCON team.
