“Through our leadership, we've brought about positive change."
SEBOKENG.- As the year draws to a close, many look back and are thankful for their achievements.
2025 has been a wonderful journey for the learners of the Thandukwazi Secondary School in Zone 6, Sebokeng.

This was revealed to Sedibeng Ster by the school’s president of the Representative Council of Learners (RCL), Nqobile Tyatya, who said that they are proud, as learners and the RCL committee, to have made a lasting impact at the school.

“Through our leadership, we’ve brought about positive change, reviving the passion and spirit of student leadership. We’ve reignited the flame of enthusiasm and creativity within our peers, empowering them to showcase their talents and abilities. Our team, comprising dedicated individuals such as our Deputy President, Academic Officer, Secretary, Treasurer, and Public Relations Officer, has worked tirelessly to create an environment where every student feels valued, heard, and inspired. Thank you to Thato Chere, Owethusonke Maduna, Thembisile Motloung, Lebohang Ratsomo and the other RCL members for making this journey easy for me.”

Tyatya said that the school has earned recognition and appreciation not just within their community in their vicinity, but also from the broader community.
“This recognition is a testament to our dedication and perseverance. As leaders, we’ve demonstrated that we can make a difference, and we’re proud to be leaving our mark on the world. Lastly, I want to say thank you to the VYG team together with our TLO for investing on us and believing in us since day one, your contributions have not gone unnoticed.”
