Post-exam Super Cup action

“We all know what it is like writing finals exams and the stress of waiting for the results."

VEREENIGING.- It was a three-day action galore when local and outside teams battled it out in the Youth Life Super Cup at Dick Fourie Stadium in Vaal recently.

This tournament, hosted by JJ Sporting FC, aimed to bring these youngsters together after their final exams, featuring U11, U13, U15, and U17 teams from across Gauteng. Some of the teams played in the Gauteng Development League, while other teams played under the local football association.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, JJ Sporting FC Director, Tyron Koller, said the tournament was to allow these youngsters to loosen up after their final exams. Koller added that this tournament was not about winning but having fun while playing the sport they love.

“We all know what it is like writing finals exams and the stress of waiting for the results. JJ Sporting FC decided to take their minds off the exams and let them play football. I’m happy that these kids enjoyed themselves without any pressure from their coaches. We are looking forward to having another tournament of this nature this time next year,” he concluded.
