Mofokeng’s parents ran this project successfully.

SHARPEVILLE.-  The Relebohile Mofokeng Foundation 2nd Annual Tournament is scheduled to take place in Sharpeville.

This was announced by his father, Sechaba Mofokeng, who said this year’s tournament will be better.

This tournament is part of Mofokeng ploughing back to his community in a special way, growing up in Sharpeville. This is where he started his amateur football career playing for Celeb Youth Academy.

The Relebohile Mofokeng Foundation was launched last year with notable names such as former soccer great Doctor Khumalo in attendance.

Mofokeng’s parents were instrumental in the success of this initiative that is unique and provides local youngsters with a platform to showcase their talent. Mofokeng’s parents ran this project successfully, especially the soccer tournament, which saw the local development soccer teams competing against each other.

Before the tournament, Relebohile Mofokeng Foundation and FAR Post hosted soccer clinics for youngsters and a coaches’ workshop.

The coaching workshop was attended by coaches as far as Orange Farm.

“We are looking forward to this year’s tournament, and preparations are already underway,” said Mofokeng.
