Ben 10 goalkeeper produces Man of the Match performance
The goalkeeper was without doubt the Man of the Match.
BOIPATONG.- Ben 10 FC goalkeeper Neo Sekoala was the hero of the day when he helped his team beat Boipatong FC 2-1 in a top-ofthe-table SAFA Sedibeng Men’s Regional League clash.
This end-to-end encounter took place at the packed Boipatong Stadium on April 5. Sekoala stood between victory and defeat when he made some brilliant saves. At one stage, his team was under endless pressure from the home team, Boipatong FC, but Sekoala stood firm between the poles and produced a Man of the Match performance, much to the delight of his supporters.
This was after he made three saves that had the entire Boipatong Stadium on its feet. This entertaining match went to half-time with Boipatong FC leading 1-0. However, the visitors came into the second half like a house on fire when they scored an equalising goal.
It was game on!
Boipatong FC created plenty of chances, but couldn’t find a way past an inspired Sekoala. The opposition goalkeeper was in top form, keeping his side in the game with a string of brilliant stops. His most crucial moment came late in the second half when he pulled off three incredible saves in quick succession. Sekoala’s hard work paid off just minutes later.
With the game nearly over, his teammates made the most of his heroics by scoring a dramatic winning goal in the final moments to snatch the victory. It was heartbreaking for Boipatong FC supporters who packed the venue. When Ben 10 FC found the back of the net, a heavy silence fell over the crowd, as if the whole community was in mourning.
Ben 10 FC’s Coach was delighted
Boipatong FC only have themselves to blame for the loss. They had plenty of opportunities to win, particularly during a dominant second half, but failed to make them count. On the other side, Ben 10 FC coach Katlego Tau was delighted, praising his players for their hard-fought performance.
