SAFA Sedibeng Regional League title race still wide open after weekend results
With only three games left in the season, it is still impossible to predict who will be crowned champions.
SEDIBENG.- The SAFA Sedibeng Hollywoodbets Men’s Regional League title race remains wide open following the mixed results over the weekend.
With only three games left in the season, it is still impossible to predict who will be crowned champions.
Boipatong FC currently looks like the favourite to win the title after securing six points over the weekend.

They travelled to Ratanda in Heidelberg on Saturday and returned with a comfortable 6-0 win against Cheeky Boys Institute FC. They followed this up on Sunday with a 3-1 victory over Remember Elite Sports Academy (RESA) in an outstanding game for both teams.

These results leave Boipatong FC at the top of the table with 74 points.
Meanwhile, Metro Stars FC showed they are still firmly in the title race with a 1-0 win over neighbours VUT FC in an exciting match at the Isak Steyl Stadium. This was a must-win game for Metro Stars FC to close the gap on the leaders, and they now sit fourth in the standings with 68 points.

Perfect Academy, who seems to be inconsistent for the past five games, played to a 2-2 draw against RESA at George Thabe Stadium, which happens to be their home ground nogal on Saturday. However, they regrouped after beating VUT FC 3-1 in the cash-up game played at Isak Steyl Stadium on Sunday. Perfect Academy were well-prepared for the match, which served as revenge after losing 1-0 to VUT FC at the George Stadium recently.

At the time of going to print, the updated league table and the remaining weekend results had not yet been released to Sedibeng Ster Sport by SAFA Sedibeng.
