SEDIBENG.- Pitso Mosimane praised young Vaal star Relebohile Mofokeng after he scored a brace, helping Bafana Bafana beat Eritrea 5-0 in an African Cup of Nations (AFCON) Qualifier match in Cairo, Egypt on Wednesday night (September 30).

This was Mosimane’s second victory at the helm of Bafana Bafana after beating Guinea 2-1 in his first campaign at the Orlando Amstel Arena on September 26.

Bafana Bafana continued their impressive performance as Mofokeng almost single-handedly scored both opening goals in the 19^th and 42 + 2^nd minutes (stoppage time), giving Bafana Bafana a 2-0 lead going into the half-time break.

He was one of the standout players on the field for Bafana Bafana, starring alongside his homeboy Thapelo Maseko.

Speaking to journalists after the game, Mosimane praised Orlando Pirates forward Oswin Appollis for his standout performance before turning his attention to Mofokeng.

Mosimane had a lot to say about Mofokeng, stating he is top class.

This Sharpeville-born young star came into a party for Bafana Bafana, scoring twice after he missed what looked like a clear scoring chance in the previous game against Guinea. This time, he was composed, converting both chances much to the delight of the whole Bafana Bafana bench, with Mosimane hugging him on the touchline.

Hopefully, Mofokeng continues his performance for Bafana Bafana when they play against Egypt.

It was special seeing Mofokeng in Mosimane’s arms after scoring.

This former Orlando Pirates forward has been making headlines for his Belgian side Royale Union Saint-Gilloise since he joined the club.

Hopefully, Mofokeng continues his performance for Bafana Bafana when they play against Egypt in an international friendly match at Cairo International Stadium on Sunday (October 4).

Kick-off is at 20:00.
