SEDIBENG.- There was a mix of results for the local teams, Ben 10 FC and Boipatong FC, when they made their ABC Motsepe League debut over the weekend.

These two Vaal representatives began their campaigns away from home.

Boipatong FC suffered a dramatic 3-2 defeat against JBM FC at the Nike Centre on Friday afternoon after letting a comfortable two-goal lead slip away. Despite controlling the match for large periods, Boipatong FC lost concentration during the final five minutes as JBM FC mounted a desperate comeback.

The debutants defended desperately under immense pressure before their backline finally cracked, conceding three late goals that robbed them of an opening victory.

Club chairman, Gab Maloka, remains convinced that his side will bounce back when they travel to face Dinoko City on Friday afternoon in what promises to be another fierce contest against last season’s title contenders.

Meanwhile, Ben 10 FC made a positive start to life in the league by securing a hard-fought 1-1 draw against SSU M-17 FC. Building on this encouraging performance, Ben 10 FC will now prepare to host JBM FC at the George Thabe Stadium on Saturday, with kick-off scheduled for 15:00.
