SEDIBENG.- Jomo Cosmos has moved their ABC Motsepe League home games to Duduza Stadium in Ekurhuleni.

Cosmos has used this venue for home games for quite some time now, especially after being relegated from top-flight football.

They gained promotion back to the PSL.

Cosmos used the Isak Steyl Stadium when competing in the National First Division League, now known as the Motsepe Foundation Championships. They gained promotion back to the PSL but were again relegated to the lower division league.

It was moved to the other venue.

This change of venue was confirmed by the club, which said they are not sure how long it will take before the venue is completed.

Ezenkosi was supposed to play their ABC Motsepe League opening match against Young Pirates at this venue but moved the game to Duduza Stadium. This much-anticipated match was supposed to draw a full house, with local soccer fans looking forward to watching it. Ironically, it was moved to the other venue.

In fact, at the beginning of the season, the ABC Motsepe League fixture stated that Cosmos would play their home games at Isak Steyl Stadium; little did they know the venue would be under construction.

This has been a happy hunting ground for Ezenkosi.

“We will be playing our home games at Duduza Stadium from now because the venue that we were using is under construction. We don’t know how long it will take before it is ready,” said Gerald Mtshali, the assistant coach.

Cosmos will be playing at TUT on Friday.

Kick-off at 15:00.

This will be their second league championship after beating Young Pirates 1-0 in their opening match.
