Oslo shooting: Victim named
The father was gunned down in cold blood in front of his daughter.
THE man who was gunned down in a drive-by shooting in Oslo Beach yesterday has been identified as Lower South Coast Regional Executive Committee (REC) member and HCM employee, Mlungisi Ngcobo.
His daughter was wounded and is recovering in hospital. Ngcobo was also an employee at Hibiscus Coast Municipality.
Provincial Secretary, Sihle Zikalala said Ngcobo had served in the REC of the ANC Youth League in the Lower South Coast Region for a long time before becoming its deputy chairman from 2009 to 2011. He became the REC member in the region in November 2014 and was also part of the leadership in the Hibiscus Coast Sub Region.
Police are still investigating the motive for the attack.
