Fever Local News | The titleholder of Miss Bizana High Schools will win a cash prize of R10 000 and the opportunity to compete in the Miss Teenager South Africa and Teen Universe South Africa.

With the official crowning on June 22, finalists have been selected from 30 schools for the Mr and Miss Bizana High Schools’ 2024 pageant.

Taking place at the Wild Coast Sun, the pageant has four categories: Mr and Miss Bizana High Schools (15 to 17 years), which is the main title of the pageant, Miss Bizana Petite (five to 10 years) Miss Bizana Pre-teen (11 to 14 years) and Miss Bizana (18 to 27 years).

The titleholder of Miss Bizana High Schools will win a cash prize of R10 000 and the opportunity to compete in the Miss Teenager South Africa and Teen Universe South Africa, while the gents are set to compete for an R8 000 cash prize.

Now in its third edition, the pageant attracts young entrants from Bizana and surrounding areas.

It is sponsored by the Wild Coast Sun, Winnie Madikizela Mandela Local Municipality, Femme Crown, Stride Institute, Wabane Holdings and the Mzamba Taxi Association.

The current titleholders, Melisa Nontshe and Azukiswe Magaqa will hand over the crowns in June.

The 2024 winners will prepare for national pageants but also dedicate their time to a community-building programme to give back during their nine-month reign.

Nontshe is involved in a ‘Stand Your Ground’ project which raises awareness about bullying in schools.
