Community leaders visit hospice

He was grateful to have an opportunity to discuss hospice work with local community leaders, Pastor Steven John and Councillor Bob Daniel who recently visited the premises.

Neil McDonald, CEO of Khanya Hospice based in Umkomaas, has always been passionate about hospice, the work it does and of course informing others in the community of what this NPO can do for people.

He was grateful to have an opportunity to discuss hospice work with local community leaders, Pastor Steven John and Councillor Bob Daniel who recently visited the premises.

“It is always nice to explain to people who we are and what we do in and for the community that we serve and it was good for these leaders to visit and see how and where they can help Khanya Hospice,” said Neil.

Pastor Steven complimented the nursing staff for their work done from Athlone Park through to Hibberdene, and cllr Bob offered to assist the NPO sort out a huge water bill it received over a year ago and couldn’t get help sorting out.

“Once again we are grateful for people taking an interest in hospice and for the helping us where they can.”
