Two in court for Mtwalume pensioner’s murder
They appeared in the Umzumbe Magistrate’s Court on Monday this week.
Two people, aged 24 and 36, have been arrested after the body of 64-year-old Khanyisile Ngwane was found in a pool of blood inside her home in the Nhlabamkhosi area of Mtwalume on October 14.
Initial police investigations revealed that several valuable items had been stolen from the residence.
The 24-year-old was arrested in the Nyangwini area last Thursday, and found in possession of items believed to have been taken from Ngwane’s home.
On the same day, police arrested a 36-year-old in connection with the murder.
Both were charged with murder and possession of property suspected to be stolen. They appeared in the Umzumbe Magistrate’s Court on Monday this week.
