Police seize tampered flatbed truck in Harding
The operation included routine roadblocks and patrols.
At least 183 vehicles were examined in the CBD and Deemount areas of Harding during a special operation conducted by members of the Port Shepstone Vehicle Crime Investigation Unit, together with Saps Harding Vispol.
The operation included routine roadblocks and patrols. During the course of the operation, a flatbed truck was stopped and examined.
Police discovered that the engine and chassis numbers on the truck had been altered and appeared to be false.
The driver indicated that the vehicle belonged to a company in Gauteng, which was later confirmed.
The truck was seized for further investigation and has been impounded at the Saps vehicle safeguarding pound.
