Quick action leads to arrest of cellphone thief in Scottburgh
The suspect was positively identified by the victim.
While conducting a routine patrol in the Scottburgh area on April 1, a Gladiator Security response officer noticed a woman in distress.
She told the officer that she had just been robbed of her cellphone by an unknown man.
The officer immediately initiated a foot pursuit and was able to successfully arrest the suspect who was positively identified.
The cellphone was also recovered and returned to the woman.
The suspect was then handed over to Scottburgh Saps.
Gladiator thanks Scottburgh Saps for its swift response and continued partnership in keeping the community secure.
