A robbery victim allegedly killed one of his three assailants in Deepvale Road, Umbango on the evening of April 11.
According to the Saps Ugu District Communications office, police and paramedics responded to the scene of a murder at around 23:00. “It is alleged that three unknown men robbed a man who fought back. Two of the suspects ran off, leaving the third man behind who sustained fatal injuries.”
It is believed the victim’s cellphone was stolen.
The cause of death will be determined via a post-mortem examination. A case of murder has been opened for investigation.
No arrest has been made as yet, as the victim is unknown at this stage.
