Solid golf at Margate CC

There have been some good scores posted.

The Wobblers’ regular Wednesday competition at Margate Country Club saw first place go to Danie Brummer, John Ford and Bob Weanie on 81 points.

Runners-up were Dave Morrison, Freddie Boshoff and Thys Bothma on 76 points.

Third spot went to Jack Kukard, Wayne Minnaar and Wimpie Jordaan on 73 points.

The Arthur Tomlinson Floater went to Johan Human, Hans Dellinger and Nico van Vuuren on 70 points.

Nearest the pin was Wayne Minnaar (16th).

The 100-Club last Wednesday was won by Chippy Louw and Johan Stoltz on 71 points.

Runners-up were Eddy Roux and Schalk Oosthuizen on 64 points, with Poen and Suzette Olivier next on 58 points.

The Club Meat competition last Thursday was won by Sandi Johnston on 37 points.

Nearest the pin was Bill Sargent (4th).

The Saturday Club Meat competition was won on 40 points by Joe Espach. Pieter Lourens was next on 39 points.

Carlos Pereira had a two at the 8th. Nearest the pins were Pieter Lourens (4th) and Anika Mulder (16th).

In the ladies’ section, last Tuesday’s competition was won by Wondra Bothma on 37 points, with Cathy Meyer next on 33 points.

The medal and putts last Saturday was won by Wilna Olkers on 94, with Dawn Howden taking bronze division honours on 96 gross.

Best nett went to Grace Fourie on 75. Dawn had the least putts, 30.
