All set for fun bike ride
This event will be used to raise funds for the repair of the road leading to Oribi Gorge and the Nature Reserve from the main Harding Road or N2.
Organisers of the Paddock Fun Bike Ride are adamant this year’s event will be a resounding success. As they say, it’s all systems go, and the stage is set for this Sunday (12th).
This event will be used to raise funds for the repair of the road leading to Oribi Gorge and the Nature Reserve from the main Harding Road or N2.
According to one of the organisers, Angus Adie, the road to the nature reserve is in dire need of repair. “We are raising funds for the repair of the road to Oribi Gorge. It’s been in this state for quite a long time. No one seems to care to give the road the needed repairs and attention. It’s about a 10km stretch.”
He said they started hosting this kind of event many years ago and that the day promises to be an enjoyable one.
There are three tracks on the day and one can also enter on the day of the event. The main track fee is R250 and about 30km, with the intermediate track fee only R150 and a distance of 10km.
There will be a 1km track for kiddies.
