Casual Day stickers to aid Toti school
Don your casual clothes and help a school in need.
Purchase your Casual Day stickers from the Durban School for the Hearing Impaired in Adams Road for only R10, which gives Toti residents a ‘license’ to dress as differently from the norm as they dare on Friday, 6 September.
This is part of South Africa’s 19th Casual Day, which creates awareness and raises funds for those with disabilities. The Durban School for the Hearing Impaired is Toti’s only local organisation that will benefit from Casual Day by selling the stickers. They have already sold stickers through staff members, pupils and parents, but appeal to the public for more support.
“Stickers are available from the school’s reception,” said Patsy Pillay, a teacher and the school’s Casual Day co-ordinator. “Contact the receptionist, Natasha Phillips on 031-903-7253 to get stickers delivered to you.”
The school has also been given permission to sell stickers at Toti Mall. “On Friday we will sell stickers at the mall until about 1.45pm.” Patsy encourages local schools to get involved and support this great cause.
