Project ‘Walk Tall’ gets legs

Athlone Park Methodist Church and the Athlone Park library are drop-off points for any donations.

ATHLONE Park Methodist Church and the Athlone Park library care deeply for the wellbeing of children. Our sister church, No 5 Society, is situated in an informal settlement on the outskirts of our neighbourhood. These members are from impoverished families. The children rarely receive any new items.

We are currently embarking on a project called “Walk Tall”, whereby school shoes that are no longer needed may be donated to children who face the reality of going to school bare foot.

All shoes donated will be given to less fortunate children in our community and surrounds. Enquiries can be directed to:

Rabia Khan – Athlone Park Library 031-904

Penni Mallon – Athlone Park Methodist Church 031-9043344
