A MAN who used a popular online classifieds website to sell his vehicle got more than he bargained for when three men robbed him of the vehicle at gunpoint.
Police understand that the owner had advertised his vehicle on the website and received a response from an interested customer.
When he took the vehicle for the client to test drive, he was accosted by three gunmen who robbed him of his vehicle and drove to the Folweni area.
Major Thulani Zwane of KZN police media office said when they noticed a police vehicle, they abandoned the vehicle and fled. A case of hijacking was opened at Umbilo SAPS for investigation. No arrests have been made.
