If you recognise the ring, call 082-462-2916.
The search is on to find the owner of a missing wedding ring recovered on Durban beachfront.
So enthused is the founder Donald Ensor to track down the ring’s owner, he has cast his search net far and wide, from as far to the north as Richards Bay and down south to Amanzimtoti.
“I found a men’s wedding ring about a week ago on Durban beachfront,” said Donald, who hails from Durban North.
“It has the name ‘Tom’ and his wife’s name Lyn engraved on it. Their wedding date is 1960.”
Donald is keeping the month and day a closely guarded secret for the owner to prove the ring does indeed belong to him.
“I’m assuming he gave this ring to his son, because on the other side is another man’s name, Brent and his wife’s name Peggy, along with their wedding date in 1991.”
There are no surnames on the old-styled 18-carat gold ring.
“I would like to track down the owner and return the ring to him, but I have no idea how I can do this.
For all I know they could have moved overseas or died.”
Donald’s posting on a social media site has garnered over 100 shares in 24-hours, as the public are eager to help him solve the mystery.
If you can help, call him on 082-462-2916.
