Without any prompting or encouragement from teachers, these enthusiastic scholars have been dedicating any free moment to collecting bottle tops and bread tags. Each tag or top they collect, is one less on the beaches which in turn is saving lives and the environment. For each kilogram of bread tags collected, R10 is received. These funds are being raised to buy a wheelchair for a disabled person. It takes 200kg tags or 450kg bottle tops to bring in enough money to buy one wheelchair (around R2 000).

This project saves and changes lives and QASA is grateful for Kamalinee Primary School’s support and especially the ‘bottle cap busters’.
