Toti High hosts successful fundraiser for Baby Liané
Baby Liané Rossouw was diagnosed with neuroblastoma cancer and requires highly specialised care.
AMANZIMTOTI High School hosted a successful fundraiser on Friday, March 4, selling doughnuts to help with Liané Rossouw’s medical costs.

Liané was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a type of cancer, in December 2020. The sale raised R11 500. Liané needs neurologist and oncologist check-ups every three months, blood tests, routine electroencephalogram tests, specialised feeding tubes and syringes, and anti-epileptic medicine.

She is currently being treated by a neurologist, a neurosurgeon, an oncologist, an otorhinolaryngologist, a cardiologist as well as a pulmonologist. She also has to see a physiotherapist, occupational therapist, and a dietician. Liané’s mother, Bianca, extended to gratitude to everyone who helped with the fundraiser.
“An extra thank you to Gideon Cordier and the staff and principal at Amanzimtoti High School for going out of their way to make this possible. We know that this will help a lot with Liané’s daily needs, doctors, and care she needs,” said Bianca.
Gideon Cordier of Amanzimtoti High School thanked the community and all companies that made a contribution.
“We are planning more events so we can support this amazing girl and her parents,” said Gideon.
