Nal’ibali is a national reading-for-enjoyment campaign that seeks to spark and embed a culture of reading in children up to the age of 12. The campaign’s TV programme promotes the use of home languages in nurturing and strengthening a reading culture in children as the home language is the first language that children learn to make sense of the world around them.

In a statement, Windy Heights Primary School said it is grateful for the recognition and compliments it receives from all over the country for the outstanding performance of learners participating in this programme.

“The school thanks all parties involved, especially Mpumi Cebekhulu from Nal’ibali, who is also a well-known actress and storyteller,” it said.
