A statement from the City’s communications department said the Water and Sanitation Unit will close the outlet of the reservoir to install an electromagnetic meter at 20:00. The maintenance work is anticipated to be completed by tomorrow (June 28).

“The Almond Road Reservoir is a strategic facility that supplies other reservoirs. Affected reservoirs have been filled before the shutdown. However, residents are urged to reduce consumption to prevent the depletion of storage reservoirs which may lead to a prolonged recovery period. The municipality apologises for any inconvenience caused,” it said.

Affected areas:
• Warner Beach
• Illovo Beach
• Panorama Park
• Astral Park
• Umgababa
