The animal-loving para-vets of eThekwini District Animal Health and Welfare travelled around Amanzimtoti offering free rabies vaccinations.

IT was a busy weekend for the dedicated para-vets of eThekwini District Animal Health and Welfare (EDAHW) as they set up mobile stations around Amanzimtoti, offering free rabies vaccinations among other services.

Kaylene Madasamy said a slow start on January 24 at Kingsburgh Centre did little to dampen the team’s spirits, relishing the “pawsitive” vibes and making sure those who stopped by were happy with the service. As the afternoon rolled in, EDAHW rolled out to Plowman Park in St Winifreds. On January 25, the team continued on to Saiccor Village Supermarket in Umkomaas.

“Umkomaas clinic on Sunday was a big win for the team. There was a great turnout and many pet owners and their furry friends walked away happy. We will be back in a month with more vaccines and deals,” said Madasamy.
