Electricity outages affect parts of Amanzimtoti

A number of areas remain without electricity, hours after the scheduled loadshedding.

WARD 97 councillor, André Beetge, has listed the areas that have remained off soon after the scheduled loadshedding from 12:00 to 14:00 today, September 20.

Beetge has reported the ongoing issue to the electricity department on streets/areas brought to his attention that are not energised after loadshedding.

The following streets have remained off or went off soon after the scheduled loadshedding:

Hillside Road
Kingsley terrace
Seadoone Road
Poplar Place
Sherwood Crescent
Worlds View Road
Valley Road
Ndongeni Drive
Beach Road (Doonside)
Robin Hood Road
Karridale Crescent
Highway Road
Syringa Place
Longacres Drive

“So effectively the Doonside, Doonheights and Shulton Park areas are affected by the outages,” he said.

On Monday, September 19, Beetge said, “Repeat from Sunday as areas of block 16 in Amanzimtoti again came on after 10:00 to 12:00 loadshedding, and off again after a few minutes.”

He added that the electricity department acknowledged receipt of report.
