Amanzimtoti SPCA hosts first Christmas market
The organisation said every cent raised is a blessing and helps them to continue the work they do.
THE Amanzimtoti SPCA recently hosted its first Christmas market day, which saw community members able to book a stall and sell their crafts.
There were about 14 stallholders selling various Christmas-inspired crafts, handcrafted items and delicious baked goods. There were also adorable animals to shower with love, both the yard cats and the animals up for adoption.

“We feel it was a good turnout in general for our first Christmas market day. I think the windy weather deterred people a bit, but overall, it was lovely. We were very blessed with the amount raised on Saturday. Every cent is a blessing and helps us to continue the work we do at our SPCA,” said the organisation’s Michelle Hannan.
They thank their volunteers who assisted on the day and the loyal supporters who came through and visited the market day as well as the stall holders.
“Thank you for deciding to come to support our first Christmas market and make it a joyful event. Also a big thank you to those who donated cakes and items that we sold on the day,” said Hannan.
“Open days like these are important, so the public come through to see the SPCA and all its wonderful animals up for adoption.”
“People can come through to see first-hand the work we do, and if they have any questions, they can interact with the staff,” said Hannan.
