Preschool makes donation to SPCA

The SPCA has been facing financial difficulties and is battling to take care of the animals in its care.

SPCA AMANZIMTOTI’S Michelle Hannan visited Kids Academy Africa in St Winifreds where she enjoyed her time with staff and learners. She also received a donation of pet food and cash.

“We really appreciate the food collected and money raised for us,” said Michelle.

For over 30 years, the SPCA has been a beacon of hope for countless vulnerable animals in Amanzimtoti. The shelter is facing an unprecedented financial crisis after posting a R317 196 loss last year, which Tracey Girling, the SPCA’s manager, said has drained the reserves.

“We are committed to being a voice for the voiceless, and for that, we need your support. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a significant difference. We understand that times are currently tough for many, but we believe that the kindness and generosity of the human spirit can overcome any obstacle. Please help us continue our vital work as animals cannot speak for themselves. They rely on us, and we can’t let them down,” said Tracey.
