The SPCA’s Michelle Hannan said, “The drive is to help us raise much-needed funds for the SPCA over the busiest period of the year. People make financial donations, and they get to put a special message in the newspaper.”

The fund’s contributions go towards food for the animals that are housed at the animal shelter. “During the festive season, we have an influx of animals coming in, either being donated to us or strays coming in. Also, because it is breeding season for cats, we get an influx of cats and kittens,” said Hannan.

Donations of any amount can be made at their premises on 1 Nyati Road, Athlone Park. Alternatively, donations can be made at the following banking details: Amanzimtoti SPCA, First National Bank, Galleria branch, Bank code: 220127, Account number: 62807184552, Reference: Doggy DF Surname.

Email your name, surname, the amount of your donation and a message to pro@spcatoti.co.za. For more information, contact 031 904 2424.
