Help Kingsburgh Child and Family Welfare spread festive cheer

Spread some Christmas joy by donating to the welfare's Christmas hampers and make a difference in the lives of struggling families.

THE festive season is fast approaching. It’s a time of joy and abundance for some but, for others, it is a struggle to create special moments for their families due to life’s challenges.

To help bridge this gap, Kingsburgh Child and Family Welfare (KCFW) is calling on the community to bring some holiday cheer to those in need. According to KCFW social worker, Sandra Govender, the organisation plans to distribute Christmas hampers on December 18 and 19.

“We aim to make these hampers truly special. If you’d like to contribute, you can donate cash, for which we’ll issue a receipt, or simply add a few extra items to your grocery cart. Donations can be dropped off at our offices by December 13, between 08:00 and 12:00,” said Sandra.

In addition to groceries, the KCFW charity shop welcomes donations of pre-loved clothing, shoes, linens, household items, toys, and more.

“Every item helps—one donated shirt can fund a can of beans for a family. When you support KCFW, you’re helping us change lives. Thank you in advance for spreading some Christmas joy to those who need it most,” she said.

Cash donations can be made to:
