Abandoned vehicle in Adams Mission linked to robbery

A stolen vehicle and other property were recovered in Adams Mission shortly after a house robbery in Msahweni.

SWIFT action by private security and the police led to the recovery of a vehicle linked to a house robbery in Msahweni, as well as the retrieval of stolen goods recently.

According to Blue Security, one of their tactical officers received a tip-off while stationed with the Blue Riot Team in Adams Mission. The caller reported an abandoned vehicle on the roadside, with suspects seen fleeing on foot.

“Familiar with the area, our tactical officer and riot commander swiftly mobilised and responded. Upon arrival, they found the vehicle deserted, and KwaMakhutha police officers soon arrived to assist,” Blue Security said in a statement.

Upon inspection, officers discovered two flat-screen televisions inside the vehicle. Further investigation revealed the vehicle had been circulated earlier by KwaMakhutha police in connection with a house robbery in Msahweni.

“According to the informer, the suspects, three in total, had used the vehicle during the robbery before abandoning it,” the statement continued.

The vehicle was handed over to the KwaMakhutha police for further processing.
