Another new act took avant-garde to another level, bringing a flute, an acoustic guitar, and an eclectic, unique sound to the open mic.

Bandmates and friends, Jon-Claude Stirling and Shane Strachan, of The Golden Super Hawks, started the open mic around one-and-a-half years ago, calling on local musicians, new and experienced alike, to take to the stage.
Stirling said that he had his start at open mics and it equipped him with the stage experience and confidence to perform in front of large audiences. He encouraged up-and-coming artists to come out and experience what the open mic is all about on the last Thursday of every month.
If you are interested, you can check out the open mic at Warnadoone Ski Boat Club on November 27.
