Rotary Club of Chatsworth raids Toti to strengthen bonds

The Rotary Club of Chatsworth conducted an official club raid in Amanzimtoti and the two clubs shared fellowship and insights.

MEMBERS of the Rotary Club of Chatsworth recently undertook an official club raid to the Rotary Club of Amanzimtoti, bringing with them music, friendly vibes and valuable insights. The visit underscored both clubs’ commitment to strengthening relationships within Rotary, one of the largest non-governmental organisations in the world.

Hosted by the Rotary Club of Amanzimtoti, the meeting provided a platform for the exchange of insights, project updates and strategic discussions on future partnership opportunities.

Rotary Amanzimtoti president, Sipho Gumbi, expressed his joy at receiving the 20-strong Chatsworth crew, which he affectionately referred to as “hot and spicy”. Both clubs highlighted their ongoing efforts in key areas such as community upliftment, youth development and social support initiatives, emphasising the value of shared learning and co-ordinated service.

“The evening concluded with awesome entertainment provided by our talented band known as “The Bandits,” coupled with meaningful fellowship, constructive dialogue and renewed dedication to the shared mission of ‘Service Above Self.’ The strong engagement between these two sister clubs stands as a testament to Rotary’s spirit of unity and collaboration,” said Rotary Chatsworth past president, Vani Govender.

Vani expressed the club’s appreciation to the Rotary Club of Amanzimtoti for its hospitality and looks forward to continued partnership.
