The computer courses are headed by child and youth manager, Wandile Nxumalo, and equip community members with much-needed skills to navigate the modern world.
One of the graduates, Amanda Luthuli, thanked Nxumalo and Seed of Hope for the opportunity to learn.
“I learnt skills such as typing, how to put together a curriculum vitae (CV), participate in interviews and more. I have gained sisterhood with my fellow learners and came away with a certificate. I believe in myself and am more confident in being able to achieve everything I set out to do. I was also doing caregiver training at the same time and I am putting that experience to work volunteering,” said Luthuli.
She explained that during the class, they was encouraged to gain practical work experience to build their CVs. She intends to keep studying new skills at Seed of Hope to further equip herself for a brighter future.
