The club’s Dirk Smit said that from the first whistle down to the final try, the tournament was packed to the brim with action and sportsmanship.

“It was not just about the scoreboards, it was about the heart, the teamwork, and those massive smiles under the coastal sun. Our players showed incredible grit on the field and even better sportsmanship off it. A huge shout out to the parents, coaches, and supporters who made the trip to cheer on the rugby minis,” said Smit.

Honouring rugby mothers

The tournament was hosted by South Coast Warriors and coincided with Mother’s Day.

“In celebration, between the tries and tackles, the club took a moment to honour the women who, through their dedication, loud cheers and support every step of the way, are the heart of our rugby family. We hope your day was as amazing as you all are,” the club said in a heartfelt post on its Facebook page.
