Hosts, the Illovo Christian Fellowship Centre, were joined by Durban Solid Waste, and organisers, non-profit organisation Owesifazane Ohlakaniphile.

Residents filled dozens of rubbish bags during the clean-up before participating in a prayer walk and street praise and worship.

“We hope that this initiative shows our community how important it is to keep our beautiful township clean,” said church member Thobile Mchunu.
