The project made for a fantastic example of local collaboration and was supported by Seabreeze Hardware, Happy Days Holiday Flats, Sapphire Coast Tourism and dedicated community volunteers.

Romy Wenzel, of Sapphire Coast Tourism and Tidy Towns, said participants rolled up their sleeves with a mission in mind, to improve access to the pristine beachfront.

“The team removed overgrown vegetation, cleared built-up beach sand and collected litter, creating a cleaner, safer and more welcoming space for residents and visitors. Thank you to eThekwini Municipality Parks for assisting with the removal of refuse bags. A big appreciation to everyone contributing towards keeping Amanzimtoti and surrounding suburbs clean and beautiful,” said Wenzel.
