Going once, sold: Jabulani fundraising auction a success
The Kingsburgh community enjoyed an exciting live auction as old age home, Jabulani, raised funds to support its elderly residents.
JABULANI, Kingsburgh Welfare Organisation for the Aged opened its doors for the community on June 27 for an exciting fundraising auction full of smiles, savings and opportunities to put the “fun” in ”fundraising”.

The live auction offered bidders a chance to raise their paddles and open their wallets for a host of amazing and interesting items, from antiques to practical, everyday items.
A fantastic addition to the auction was experienced auctioneer, George Snodey, who brought with him an infectious energy and enthusiasm.
Jabulani’s Lesly Meyer expressed the utmost gratitude to everyone who supported the fundraising event.
“Your generosity, energy, and willingness to dig deep made the day a wonderful success, and the funds raised will make a real difference in the lives of our residents. I’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our residents, who were involved every step of the way, from helping set up to participating on the day itself. Their spirit and involvement were truly the heart of the event. To everyone who attended, bid, donated and cheered us on, we could not do what we do without this incredible community behind us,” said Meyer.
