The school opened its doors to the first batch of learners on January 29, 1936, and since then, it has shaped people from all walks of life who have gone on to make their names professionally around the world. In a statement, the school paid tribute to all the teachers, principals and learners who have ever walked the halls since day one and helped shape the school into what it is today.

“Your passion, leadership and commitment laid the foundation on which we continue to build. We also extend our sincere gratitude to our present and past school governing body members, and to our neighbouring schools and wider community for your ongoing support, partnership and encouragement throughout the years. As we celebrate this remarkable milestone, we carry with us the memories of the past, stand firmly on the strong foundation that was built over 90 years, and look ahead with confidence as we continue working towards a bright and promising future,” the statement read.

Activities included the cutting of a massive birthday cake. The learners and staff also took a photo on the field with the learners arranging themselves into a giant “90” for an aerial photo.
