International Zebra Day is celebrated on January 31, and the learners participated in fun games, zebra-themed art projects, and interactive lessons, discovering fascinating facts about zebras and their role in the environment.

The school’s departmental head, Fanie Hennop, said the day helped to educate the learners and it was also an opportunity to highlight biodiversity and the importance of preserving wildlife for future generations.

“We encouraged learners to think about how they can help protect wildlife and take care of the planet. We were hoping this event would inspire young conservationists to appreciate and protect animals for years to come,” said Hennop.
