‘Rave’ is unscriptural

No doubt this letter, if published, will fall on deaf ears because many a ‘good’ thing done in the world today is not necessarily a God thing.

EDITOR – With regards to the Rapture Rave this young, Christian lady wants to organise, permit me to say something of interest and share constructive input as this has to do with God who is Holy and not merely mortal man.
No doubt this letter, if published, will fall on deaf ears because many a ‘good’ thing done in the world today is not necessarily a God thing.
My reasoning is: Nobody had ‘raves’ in the Bible so this is totally unscriptural and man’s thought-out idea. Loud music, singing, flashing lights, jumping up and down on stage,or even a good testimony, do not actually get people saved.
Only by hearing the Word of God and the presence of the Holy Spirit brings conviction to an unsaved person and this prompting is what causes the person to relent, repent and ask Jesus Christ to come into their heart and life. I always get suspicious of events like this because the Word of God is what sanctifies and nothing else. Raves are synonymous with immoral, hard-core drug parties – similar to Eastern religions’ idol worship ceremonies.
In fact it’s a slap in the face of Christianity and brings the name of God into disrepute, not to mention fallen martyrs who willing died so we can still have the Word of God today. Godly reverence is at an all-time low in churches today, because Christians have replaced God’s laws with church laws, and thus man instinctively formulates his own programmes, because he is thinking along man’s ways of trying to get people saved instead of sticking to the manual, the Bible, as the original blueprint for Christian living. The venue where a Christian event takes place should not be where a newly saved person can return later, where the atmosphere is totally different and, in ignorance, partake in beverages or the like which cause people to stumble.
When I hear people use the word ‘rapture’ nowadays, bells start ringing. I am not saying this woman does not know what the timing of true rapture is, or what it is all about, but more importantly what is going to be portrayed at this event with the name rapture rave is as though a ‘high’ is going to take place – another bad habit of what happens at secular raves.
Nearly 99.9% of the time when the word rapture is used, whether in sermons, books, Christian movies or teachings, it is spoken of or referred to as a pre-tribulation rapture, which is sometimes openly stated as a theory. That is exactly what it is – a theory. The Bible is not confused, man is. It has been fabricated, taken out of context, birthed by the Catholics over 100 years ago, because at that time they were losing congregants and money and they decided to ‘fast forward’ the end of the age rapture. The ‘pre-trib rapture theory’ is an escapist’s theology, based on one of eight theories and a ‘make you feel good’ teaching by putting it before the great tribulation period.
I am sure the woman means well, but these ‘rave type’ music festivals have been an annual event in Toti in the past and the little impact it had on the youth has all fizzled out due to the lack of discipleship to bring them to maturity. It takes a lot of time and effort for a mentor to produce a strong protege into maturity, but one has to put in an ‘extra something’ to produce a good ‘product’. A rave is merely a feel-good music festival that only lasts a few hours, whereas discipleship is ongoing, and so is our walk with Jesus Christ.
Lastly, due to Catholics birthing the pre-tribulation theory, they are currently formulating a ‘fake rapture’ using a hologram in the not too distant future along with the Illuminati. Check out Blue Beam Project online. Don’t get caught napping, it is a reality. As the Bible says “even the elect will be deceived”.
