Toti AC team wishes runners a happy holiday
The Winkle-Toti-Winkle race hosted by Winkle SLSC was a great event.
THE chairman and Toti Athletic’s Club committee members wish all runners, family and friends a merry Christmas and a happy new year.
A big thank you is extended to all members, family and friends who helped during the year with the various club events.
The Winkle-Toti-Winkle race hosted by Winkle SLSC was a great event. The weather and beach conditions made for fast times in the 12km beach run.
The first Toti runner home was Chris Stange in a time of 50 minutes. He came in second overall. The first Toti woman was Karin in a time of 58 minutes. She was the first woman overall.
Club members walked away with some awesome lucky draw prizes.
A reminder that the chairman’s Boxing Day run on Thursday, 26 December starts at Lords at 7am. Refreshments will be served after the run, so take along family and friends for a social.
The last time trial for the year will be held on Wednesday, 18 December. The club will hand out the following time trial badges: Richard Anderson 500; Irene Bohmer 142; Jolanda Broodryk 143; Lawrence Herron 659; Steven Msomi 514; Ron Sayer 1109; Chris Stange 207; Barbara Wagner 303; Jackie Williams 335; Pam Yelseth 112.

Those training for Comrades should remember to get in at least one long run per week, averaging 24km to 30km. Club champs for 2014 is: Postnet Marathon on 23 February; SAPS 21km on 1 September and Merewent 10km on 3 August, 2014.
