RWFL issues bibs to athletes for visibility
Well done to those members who completed the Kearsney Striders 21.1km and 10km run and walk race on Sunday.
SATURDAY morning’s Run Walk For Life (RWFL) run was once again well supported by members as well as other clubs and the public.
Well done to those members who completed the Kearsney Striders 21.1km and 10km run and walk race on Sunday.
Some ran brilliant times, in what is one of the toughest races on the KZNA calendar. Special mention must be made of Justin Willemse who completed his first road race, the 10km event, in a respectable time.
To all who completed this event, RWFL says keep up the trainingto realise such results more often.
As it’s a new year, athletes’ ASA memberships are up for renewal. While ASA has increased its licence fees, RWFL has kept it the same as 2013.
RWFL members pay only R120 to belong to the athletic club, which includes an ASA number. The rest will pay R250.
No registration fee forms are available at training sessions.
For those athletes who join RWFL at any of its training runs and who are not wearing bright coloured clothing and reflective wear, RWFL will hand them a bib to wear, for their own safety.
On Saturday there will be a 10km run or walk at 5am from Amanzimtoti High school.
Sunday’s race is the PDAC 25km run and walk starting at 5am from Waterfall Shopping Centre. For more information, call Teneal Feather on 061-069-7384. For more on RWFL, call Jan on 082-290-4025.
