The D team claimed first blood by taking a full house score in the first round, with the C team reclaiming four points. After that it was tickets for the C team, with the D team going on a rampage and ending the night with a win. Final score was 12-6.
Sapphire Cove A came up against Sapphire Cove B. The A team of Glen Fryer, Hennie Coetzee, Mark Russell and Dean Keppler taught the B team’s Tyrone Foxon, Mike van Heerden, Charne Coetzee and Liza Vorster a well-learned lesson in the finer skills of the game by beating them 12-6. Deon and Mark beat Tyrone and Mike in their doubles match and the combination of Hennie and Glen won against Charne and Liza.
