Cane Rats fliers are back in action
At this stage, Cane Rat members are able to fly electric aircraft models with a maximum wing span of 1.4 metres.
THE Amanzimtoti Electric Model Flying Club, the Cane Rats, are pleased to announce it is once again in practice after suffering a dry spell of not being able to enjoy the sport due to a lack of field space.
The Cane Rats will enjoy being able to practise the sport at Amanzimtoti Country Club, after the club graciously offered field space to accommodate them. Members of the Cane Rats sincerely thank the club’s committee for their help.
Special thanks to chairman, Mike McGregor for his input in preparing the flying site for the Cane Rats on the club’s premises.
Current and future Cane Rat members are able to join the country club under the title of social members, which will grant them access to all facilities at the club such as the bar and restaurant.
This presents an exciting opportunity for current Cane Rat members as they have not been able to enjoy the pleasure at previous flying sites.
At this stage, Cane Rat members are able to fly electric aircraft models with a maximum wing span of 1.4 metres.
The club is registered with South African Model Aircraft Asociation (SAMAA).
The club extends an invite to any electric radio-conrolled flyers to contact them and join in flying at the Amanzimtoti Country Club.
