Gladys claims women’s singles champs title at Winkle BC

The results of the Saturday, 19 July 2-4-2 saw first session winners emerge in Mack and Joyce Mackrory.

IT was a busy week with club competitions at Winklespruit Bowling Club.

Gladys Yelland won the women’s championship singles for 2014 by beating Elmarie Young.

Well done Gladys.

In the men’s championship singles, Mike Kruger goes through to the final after beating Bill Rawlinson.

Jeannette Els and Elmarie Young beat Charlotte Kolh and Lynette van Vuuren in the women’s nominated pairs, and Elaine Critchlow and Maureen Griffin beat Lulu Bingham and Cathy du Ploy in the same competition.

Martin Young and Annalie Pienaar beat Susan Erasmus and Des Robarts in the mixed drawn pairs 2-4-2, and Sonny Brunsdon and Andre Gelderblom beat Freddy Hetterscheidt and Brian Bodley in the men’s nominated pairs 2-4-2.

Well done to all the winners, keep up the good work getting the outstanding competitions played.

On Friday, 18 July the attendance draw was won by Harry van Vuuren, so the pool starts from scratch this coming Friday. See you all there.
