Get entries in for South Coast Marathon
In less than 200 days, the 2015 Two Oceans Marathon takes place. Ultra marathon entries open on 15 October.

TIME is running out if you still want to enter the popular South Coast Marathon hosted by Amanzimtoti Athletics Club on Sunday, 19 October.
Pre-entries close on 9 October, enter online at www.eventtiming.co.za/gossbalfe.
The marathon is a Comrades qualifier. A long sleeve shirt will be given to marathon runners and a short sleeve shirt to the 21km runners. A commemorative medal to celebrate the 10th year of sponsorship will be given to all finishers.
Athletes must be at the Amanzimtoti train station at 5am on Sunday, 19 October to board the free train ride to the start of your race. If you’re doing the 21km, we will drop you off at Illfracombe station for those running the marathon the train will drop them off in Scottburgh. Both races will finish at Hutchison Park. Ensure you collect your race number by 4am on race day at the civic centre and Saturday, 18 October at Hutchison Park from 10am until 4pm.
The helpers run is on Saturday, 11 October from Lords and Legends at 5am. The club vest and black shorts must be worn. Give your name to the club captain. Water and coke will be supplied by the club. We need help with vehicles to transport runners to the start. A list is available at time trails, put your name down for marshalling tog bag area, serving of tea post hydration, layout of the finish area.

Do you want to run the Comrades up run? A new morning training group starts 1 October. Morning runs are at 5am. Call club captain, Chris on 083-301-3632, if you would like to join us Monday to Friday from Warner Beach Senior Preparatory senior campus.
Comrade pre-entry opened on 1 September and more than 25% of the 23,000 entry cap has been taken up. So far, 10,384 athletes have entered for the race on 31 May, 2015.
Prospective entrants have until the 30 November or as soon as the cap of 23,000 entries has been reached.
The 2014 Comrades times will not be accepted as a qualifier, athletes have from 1 August to 4 May to qualify. The substitution window period will be from 1 to 21 April. Enter online at www.comrades.com, via post or hand in entries at the Comrades office. Entries fees are R380, early bird fee for locals is R350, if you enter before 30 September.
I’s encouraging to see more athletes at Wednesday time-trail run. Remember to wear reflective gear at night. Congratulations to Ewoud Grobler on achieving his 300th time trail badge.
Time trail results for Wednesday, 24 September: 8km: N Ngenge 29.29, S Ngexe 32.41, T Ndlovu 34.01, G Mngabi 38.20, E Grobler 38.20.
4km: A Olivier 26.46, K Balaram 26.50. Training times for Toti AC juniors track and field meet at Lords at 4.45pm, Mondays to Fridays, call Riaan on 078-457-1936.
Senior strength training is at Lords at 5pm on Tuesdays, call Cecil on 079-895-4323.
Time trails for 8km and 4km are on a Wednesday at lords 6pm. There is a 11km run on Saturdays at 6am.
Walkers train on Mondays and Tuesdays at 4.30pm, Wednesdays at 5.30pm and Thursdays at 4.30pm.
