Warnadoone A takes 13-5 victory against Moulin Rouge D
Sheldon Birk took a killer full house and team mate Clinton Barendse took three of his four games.

SAPPHIRE Coast pool league results from Wednesday, 1 October:
Warnadoone A won the first round against Moulin Rouge D, but Moulin Rouge struck back in the second round leaving the teams with even scores. Undaunted, a forceful Warnadoone A attacked again, taking a clean third round and three of the fourth round’s games. Warnadoone A’s Sheldon Birk took a killer full house and team mate Clinton Barendse took three of his four games. Showing no mercy in the doubles and seizing both doubles games, Warnadoone A took and free and easy 13-5 victory.
Warnadoone D took the first round against Silver Dollar C. With the next two rounds ending with even scores, and Silver Dollar C winning the last round, both teams hoped for a breakthrough in the doubles games. Silver Dollar C’s Rudi Hunt scored a grand full house, with team mate Melrick Venter and Warnadoone D’s Valence Shunmugam taking three of their four games. In first doubles game, Silver Dollar C had one last red to sink. As the shot was taken the white ball’s ricochet sent the black ball hurtling straight for the middle pocket before the red went down in the top left. With concentration lost for one team and spirits soaring for the other, Warnadoone D clinched the second doubles match and scored a triumphant 10-8 victory.
After Warnadoone B and Sapphire Cove A’s first round played out evenly, Sapphire Cove A forged ahead taking a clean second round and relinquishing only one point in the third round and one in the fourth. Sapphire Cove A’s Mike van Heerden took a fantastic full house and team mates Sheldon Who and Glenn Fryer each took three of their games. No mercy in the doubles games took Sapphire Cove A to a spectacular 14-4 victory.
Moulin Rouge A captured the first round against Warnadoone C. The even second and third rounds’ results did not help Warnadoone C’s cause. Moulin Rouge A sucked up the last two points of the fourth round that could have made the difference. Moulin Rouge A’s Wayne Kennedy and Pierre Boonzaier each took splendid full houses. Two more annihilations in the doubles games left Moulin Rouge A with a dynamic 12-6 victory.
Moulin Rouge B was just no match for Reef B. A massacre let rip from the first break until the last match’s black ball was potted. Reef’s Johno Coetzee, Trevor Campbell, Nick Odendaal and Prasheen Chandermum all took brutal full houses. Doubles matches fell also into the hands of Reef B who scored a magnificent 18-0 victory.
Reef D took the first round against Reef C. The even second round did not help Reef C’s plight. Reef D’s third round win added insult to injury. An even fourth round left Reef C trailing miserably. Reef D’s Johnny Roets and Barry de Beer each took three of their four games. Tolerating the loss of the first doubles game, Reef D grabbed the second and scored a potent 11-7 victory.
Ollies A’s took a clear first round against Sapphire Cove B. Ollies A toyed with Sapphire Cove B, never allowing them to get ahead in any of the next three rounds. Ollies A’s Saggie Moodley and Cliffy Govender each took three of their four games. A split in the doubles left Ollies A with an effortless 11-7 victory.
Ollies B took a clear first round against Silver Dollar B, and only tolerated one point gain to Silver Dollar B in the second round. Silver Dollar B’s win in the third round made little impression on Ollies B and Ollies B seized the fourth round. Ollies B’s Ashlin Pillay took a glorious full house, and team mates Kervin Joseph and Levin Poonan each took three of their four games. Silver Dollar B’s loss of the doubles games took Ollies B to a splendid 13-5 victory
